Founded in 2000 by Josep Roca, , MS in Viticulture and Oenology, with almost 25-year experience in wine trade, and Gabriel Cardozo, Sommelier. In 2001, the first vineyards were planted in the Les Planes estate, Gratallops, in the hub of Priorat. The first wines were made of the vintage harvested at old small vineyard estates growing Grenache and Carignan, situated in Gratallops and la Vilella Baixa.
The year 2005 saw the acquisition of another estate planted with aged Carignan stocks.
